Shreveport Fire Department Battle Residential Fire

Shreveport Fire Department fire crews were dispatched at 1:24pm Monday (11/11/24) afternoon to the 1900 block of Poland avenue to a report of a single-story residence fire.

The first arriving SFD fire unit on scene reported the residence showing heavy smoke coming from the rear of the residence. It took the efforts of 15 firefighters — 5 fire units, to quickly bring this blaze under control at 1:42pm.

There were no occupants at the residence at the time of the fire. The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
