But during the Police and Fire Civil Service Board meeting Wednesday morning, Henderson brought in a file outlining more specific allegations of what has been described as discrimination or abuse of power allegations.

What Is the Status of the Henderson Claim?

Chief Reese's attorney objected to these new allegations being presented because he had not been given notice. Chief Henderson decided to withdraw her initial complaint and will instead file a new case against Chief Reese that will include all of her allegations.

Chief Reese sent this statement to KEEL News:

I ask that the city prays for the Department and Chief Henderson as she seeks resolution to the claims against me. It has never been my intent to bring this much attention to the department in this manner. The Shreveport Fire Department shall remain committed to taking care of the citizens of Shreveport through sound leadership at all levels.

KEEL News asked Chief Henderson when she would file her new complaint and she told us "immediately". She would not give us a copy of her complaints, yet. She said she did not want to violate Chief Reese's rights.
