Shreveport Police Arrest Two Felons With Firearms
The Shreveport Police Department proactively works to take illegally possessed firearms off our streets. The following offenders were arrested and charged after being found to be convicted felons armed with firearms after being prohibited.
Shreveport Police Patrol Officers arrested Deandre Jones (8-24-81) on September 24th around 4:20 p.m. after he was contacted during a traffic stop in the 5200 block of Monkhouse Drive. During the incident, Jones was found to have been a convicted felon and possessing a firearm. Jones was also found to be in possession of multiple types of narcotics. Jones was arrested and charged with one count of convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and one count of possession of with intent to distribute Schedule One and Schedule Two.
Officers with the Shreveport Police Community Response Unit arrested Ja’kory Clark (11-21-02) on September 24th around 1:38 a.m. after he was contacted during a traffic stop at Commerce Street and Milam Street. During the incident, Clark was found to have been a convicted felon and possessing a firearm. The Firearm was also found to be stolen. He was charged with one count of Illegal possession of a stolen firearm and one count of convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
All Firearms and narcotics were seized as evidence.
All are considered innocent until proven guilty.
