Shreveport Police Arrest Woman for Family Neglect

Last week, Shreveport Police got a call around midnight from a 10 year-old child on Clark Boulevard.

The child told SPD that his mom had left the house around 5pm and had not returned or called the house. Police were not able to get hold of the mother Nicole Fredrick on the number given by the child.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Juvenile Crimes Division were called to try and find Fredricks and get the child somewhere safe. Detectives were able to find out that the child had never been enrolled in school.

The Department of Children and Family Services got involved and showed up to the home. Police later located Fredrick who immediately arrested for one count of Neglect of Family.
