Shreveport Police Catch 12 Drunk Drivers Over Mardi Gras Weekend

Mardi Gras weekend is a busy time for Shreveport Police, and DWIs are a big factor!

SPD was out checking up on drivers during and after parades and other activities throughout the weekend. While out hunting for anything that would be a safety hazard, police ran across quite a few drivers who absolutely should have used ride-share or a taxi to get home.

SPD sent 12 people away in a pair of shiny handcuffs to go with their fresh-caught beads for driving drunk!

These folks were arrested for drunk driving and other offences starting Friday:

· Friday:

o Landrum Anderson – Improper Lane Usage, DWI, and Speeding

o Stephanie Cromwell – DWI and Careless Operation of a Vehicle

o George Gauthier – DWI (First Offense) and Driving with No Lights

o Sharitha Wise – DWI (First Offense), Careless Operation, and No Insurance

·Saturday:

o Jaylon Blake – DWI (Second Offense) and Driving Under Suspension

o Brittany Clarkston – DWI (First Offense)

o Jonathan Turner – DWI (Second Offense)

o Kassi Wolford – DWI (First Offense) and Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle

·Sunday

o Michael Brumley – DWI (First Offense)

o Jennifer Wise – DWI (First Offense) and Multiple Outstanding Warrants

· Monday:

o Michael Mallard – DWI (First Offense)

o Chradell Pugh – DWI, Driving Under Suspension, and No Insurance
