On Thursday Shreveport Police saw a Chevy Malibu speeding down Greenwood Road and weaving in-and-out of traffic going at least 85 miles per hour.

Police hit the lights to try and pull the Malibu over, but the driver took off. Police followed close behind and saw the driver start throwing plastic bags out of the window. The driver continued driving fast and reckless for around four miles, and put kids in danger by speeding past a school bus that was loading children.

Police followed close behind and were able to get the car to stop on West College Street. Police went back and found all the baggies that were thrown out of the window and came up with 17.5 grams of suspected marijuana and 8.5 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine.

Kristopher Elias was arrested for the drugs and the high-speed chase. Shreveport Police provided a detailed breakdown of the chase and the traffic violations that stacked up as the chase went on.
