Shreveport Police Arrest Man for Domestic Violence With a Gun

On Saturday, Shreveport Police were called to West 83rd Street to a domestic disturbance.

SPD showed up to the scene, and made contact with one of the people involved. Police started investigating, and were able to determine that 28 year-old Ladarian Brackens was the aggressor of the domestic issue. The other person involved said Brackins pointed a gun at her and physically assaulted her.

Brackens was arrested and charged with the following:

· Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation

· Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

· Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment

"The Shreveport Police Department takes all reports of domestic violence seriously and urges anyone experiencing abuse to seek help. Resources are available for victims, and we encourage individuals to contact law enforcement or a local domestic violence support organization for assistance.
