Shreveport Domestic Incident Involving a Vehicle Leads to Arrest

On Monday, December 2, 2024, at approximately 7:37 AM, Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Bibb Street in reference to an assault and battery. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported an altercation with her boyfriend, 65-year-old Reginal Brown.

The victim stated that Brown was attempting to steal her vehicle, and when she tried to intervene, he refused to stop. As Brown reversed the vehicle, the victim reported that her foot was run over. Officers observed visible injuries, including bleeding on the victim’s leg and arm.

Brown was arrested on the scene and transported to the Shreveport City Jail. He faces charges of:

· Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle

· Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon

Fortunately, the victim did not sustain life-threatening injuries in this incident. The Shreveport Police Department continues to prioritize the safety of our community and urges anyone experiencing domestic violence to seek help.
