Shreveport Man Arrested for Domestic Assault With a Gun

The Shreveport Police Department responded to a call regarding an assault and battery incident in the 1300 block of Wilkinson Street on March 4 at approximately 4:49 p.m.

During the investigation conducted by patrol officers, it was revealed that 30-year-old Thomas Lawrence unlawfully entered the victim's residence wielding a firearm. Lawrence proceeded to strike the victim with the handgun, leading to injuries.

As a result of the efforts of Patrol Officers, Thomas Lawrence was promptly apprehended at the scene and taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of aggravated battery, one count of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, and one count of domestic abuse battery.

The victim is expected to make a full recovery.

Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
