
Shreveport Police Arrest Man for December Homicide
On December 1st, the Shreveport Police Department responded to a shooting at the intersection of Clyde Fant Parkway and Oden Street.
When SPD got to the scene, they located a light blue vehicle that had crashed. Inside the car was an adult Black male, later identified as Michael Allen, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Shreveport Fire Department responded and transported Allen to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Officers were notified that the driver of the car had left the scene following the crash and fled to his mother’s house in the East Washington area. The driver was later transported to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport with non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, detectives identified Keven L. Washington as a suspect in this homicide. Violent Crimes detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at Washington’s residence.
On December 11th, Washington was arrested on an unrelated charge for possession of a firearm that had been illegally modified into a machine gun. As the investigation went on, detectives obtained additional evidence linking Washington to the shooting.

"On December 29, 2025, Keven L. Washington was formally arrested and charged with one count of Second Degree Murder in connection with this case.
