Shreveport Firefighters Battle Debbie Street House Fire
On December 4, 2023, at 3:43 p.m., the Shreveport Fire Department responded to the report of a house on fire in the 6000 block of Debbie St.
The first unit arrived on the scene within six minutes of the dispatch and found a one-story brick structure with heavy smoke coming from multiple sides of the house. Firefighters were able to quickly gain access into the residences and extinguish the fire, placing it under control within 20 minutes.
Approximately twenty-four fire personnel, operating nine units worked together to bring the fire under control around 4:07 p.m. on 12/4/2023. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time, and a full assessment of the damage is not available.
