Shreveport Police have made arrests in two separate and disturbing cases involving cruelty to children.

Last week, SPD was called to St. Louis Street in to an abuse incident. When Police got to the scene, Officers learned that a 13 year-old victim had been hit several times by his mother, Searea Walker, causing injuries to the juvenile.

Following an investigation, detectives arrested Searea Walker and charged her with one count of Cruelty to a Juvenile.

In a separate case stemming from an incident that occurred on February 8, detectives arrested Altheamon Bristo Jr. Investigators determined Bristo is accused of pouring hot water on the back of a three-year-old child, causing injuries.

He was charged with one count of Cruelty to a Juvenile.
