Shreveport’s Violent Crime Team “VCAT” Makes an Arrest

The Shreveport Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) continues to make strides in its mission to curb criminal activities in our community. Detectives from the Shreveport Police VCAT and Marshals from the City of Shreveport Marshal's office have successfully apprehended 31-year-old Deandre Gibbs following a thorough investigation into criminal operations in the vicinity of 3200 Fulton Street.

Gibbs' arrest marks a crucial development in the ongoing efforts to enhance public safety in our city. He has been charged with multiple counts, including:

- Being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm

- Illegal possession of a stolen firearm

- Misdemeanor theft

We will continue to collaborate with our law enforcement partners and community stakeholders to ensure that Shreveport remains a safe place for all residents.
