Easter is coming up in about a month. It falls on April 20 of this year. The cheapest price we could find for boiled crawfish this week is $4.99 but that was only at one spot and you have to buy a minimum of 5lbs of mudbugs. That great deal is at T. Johnnies on East 70th in Shreveport. But they often run out of crawfish because of the great deals.

How Is the Supply of Crawfish in Shreveport?

Supplies are ok, but no great. And the size of the crawfish is getting better. If you are planning to do your own crawfish boil, you can find bags of live crawfish at several spots for under $4 a pound. Prices for live crawfish will likely fall below $3 a pound as we get closer to May and Memorial Day.

Prices for boiled crawfish will likely dip to about $4.50 a pound later this spring. But that will depend on the supply of mudbugs from south Louisiana. Several spots in Lafayette and Baton Rouge have already lowered the price for boiled mudbugs to about $5 a pound. We can hope to see that across the northern part of Louisiana in a few weeks.
