
Shreveport Man Wanted for Using Counterfeit Money
The Shreveport Police need the public's help to find a man who is accused of using counterfeit bills to purchase items from a hardware store.
Earlier this month, SPD got a call from Home Depot on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop about a fraudulent purchase. Detectives with SPD checked the security cameras and were able to identify Paul Crowder as the suspect. Crowder is accused of purchasing $700 worth of items from the store using fake $100 bills.
During the investigation, SPD Detectives found out that Crowder has a history of using counterfeit currency. Back in 2023 he was arrested in Chicago for possessing fake $100 dollar bills that turned out to be altered $10 dollar bills. Digging Further in to Crowder's criminal history Police found out that he has faced 15 charges involving forgery, altered documents, and counterfeiting in recent years.
Crowder currently has an active warrant out for his arrest. SPD is urging the public to help with any information leading to his arrest.
