
Shreveport Convicted Felon Arrested Again: Possession of Firearm

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police make an arrest for Felon in Possession of Firearm
On February 13, at approximately 6:20 P.M. proactive patrol officers with Shreveport Police observed a suspicious individual sitting in a vehicle in the 2900 block of Victor Street. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the individual, identified as 21-year-old Robert Webb, was in possession of a firearm.
Subsequent inquiries revealed that Robert Webb was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a prior felony conviction. Consequently, Webb was taken into custody for the charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
KEEL News has learned that Webb was arrested September 23, 2022 charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1, CDS Less than 2 1/2 lbs
- Unlawful Handling of Machine Gun
- Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms
- Illegal Carrying of Weapons While in Possession of CDS
- Possession of a Firearm or Carrying a Concealed Weapon by a Convicted Felon
All charges were dismissed except the Possession of a Firearm charge, of which Webb was convicted.
The firearm in question in this recent arrest was seized, and Robert Webb was promptly transported to the Shreveport city jail for processing. Possession of firearms by convicted felons is a serious offense, and the Shreveport Police Department will continue to diligently enforce the law to ensure the safety of our community.
The Shreveport Police Department urges anyone with information regarding illegal firearm possession or any other criminal activity to contact authorities promptly.
We are required to remind that all suspects are innocent until found guilty.
