Shreveport Classic Guidelines

The State Fair is here -- and so is the Shreveport Classic. If you're planning on going to tomorrow's game between Jackson State and Prairie View at Independence Stadium, the Shreveport Police Department has some "do's" and "don't's". First off, parking at the State Fairgrounds will cost you $5. Smoking is prohibited inside Independence Stadium and within 25 feet of any gate. Here are some of the things you cannot take into the stadium -- outside food or drink, ice chests, umbrellas, oversized bags, backpacks, mace or pepper spray, tasers and stun guns, pocket tools, straight blades, fireworks, video cameras, knives and other weapons.
