A Shreveport city employee has been arrested. 56-year-old Diane Reliford Thomas faces charges of theft and unauthorized use of an access card for allegedly using a city-issued access card to obtain fuel for her personal use. A police investigation has revealed that Thomas filled her personal vehicle and a separate fuel container with gasoline from a city-operated fueling source. Thomas has been a S.P.A.R. employee for more than 14 years. She's been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. Police say she has cited financial distress as the motivating factor behind her actions.
