Shreveport Police Assist FBI in Child Solicitation Case

On December 14, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Shreveport Police officers assisted the FBI in an operation targeting individuals attempting to solicit juveniles.
During the operation, federal agents identified Ryan Wright, who reportedly solicited a minor through electronic messaging.

When SPD officers attempted to take him into custody, Wright attempted to flee in a vehicle. During the pursuit, he struck an unmarked SPD vehicle in the 5900 block of Lakeshore Drive. Officers successfully apprehended Wright shortly thereafter.

 
Wright faces multiple charges, including:

 
• Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor
• Indecent Behavior with Juveniles
• Flight from an Officer
• Hit and Run
• Resisting an Officer
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Multiple Traffic Violations
