Shreveport Police Arrest One for Possession of Child Abuse Images

On September 18, 2022, around 9:40am Officers were contacted on reports of a sexual assault of a small child. Detectives with the Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Unit responded and began an investigation into the allegations.

With the assistance of the Gingerbread house, Detectives were able to arrest Nicholas Bovay (12-24-80) for one count of Pornography Involving Juveniles.

Further investigation into this case revealed multiple alleged crimes involving juveniles by Bovay. On September 19th, 2022, Detectives charged Bonvay with two counts of first-degree rape and two counts of molestation of a Juvenile under the age of 13.

These charges carry up to a life sentence.

We are required by law to state that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
