SHREVEPORT, LA

Chick-fil-A is moving forward with their plans to move the existing Youree Drive location all the way… next door.  Plans were announced, or leaked, months ago for Chick-fil-A to move from their current location into the old CVS Pharmacy location right next door.

A Bigger, Better Chick-fil-A Experience

The new location is designed to meet growing demand with a sharper focus on efficiency. At 5,924 square feet, the new restaurant will feature 76 parking spaces and, more notably, a revamped drive-thru capable of stacking up to 52 cars, an increase meant to ease congestion and wait times for the restaurant’s loyal customer base.

Drive-thru service is already a major component of Chick-fil-A’s business model, and this move signals a strong investment in optimizing that experience for Shreveport diners.

Local Engineering and Attention to Detail

The development team behind the new site includes Chick-fil-A as both the owner and applicant, with Atwell, LLChandling surveying and civil engineering duties. The developer is listed out of Dallas, Texas, operating from 2401 Cedar Springs Road.

The site plan includes extensive exterior details, brick veneer, metal coping, and specific storefront systems, along with landscaping and irrigation improvements that signal a more refined visual presence on Youree Drive.

A Fresh Look, Approved and Moving Forward

The new plan received the green light from the executive director on May 7, 2025, putting the project on track for a construction start in the near future. For Shreveport residents and visitors, this means a familiar favorite will soon have a more functional, polished, and customer-focused footprint, right in the same neighborhood.

Whether you're picking up breakfast on the go or grabbing lunch for the office, expect shorter waits and a smoother traffic flow once the new site opens its doors.
