Shreveport Chef Jason Brady Knows How to Keep It Local
An acclaimed Shreveport chef who believes in the phrase 'keep it local' has expanded his culinary offerings.
Jason Brady and his team were already known for their culinary delights at Wine Country Bistro and Bottle Shop. Now, they've expanded to Zocolo Neighborhood Eatery and Drinkery in Ashley Ridge Industrial Park in Shreveport, and Southern Fork Catering.
Zocolo, owned by Jason Reynolds, is a neighborhood eatery with a chef-driven menue. Southern Fork, started this year, is a full-blown catering company. At Zocolo, the culinary team will offer "a family-friendly menu that includes everything from pizzas and burgers to steaks and fresh seafood." For large parties, Southern Fork menus feature "local products with a splash of regional culinary flair."
Jason is a firm believer in keeping it local. About 80% of what he offers is either grown or purchased locally. He works with local farmers and producers to bring his customers the freshest products. He and his team hope their new venture will help Shreveport with food tourism -- where people travel from outside the area to simply taste the city's culinary offerings.
