Shreveport Catholic Bishop Michael Duca Says Give Up Something Simple for Lent
As we prepare to wrap up Mardi Gras, we begin to think about Lent and the Easter Season. Many Catholics will begin the Lenten Season with Ash Wednesday. Shreveport Diocese Bishop Michael Duca tells us this is a time when you can make sacrifices to help you renew your love for the Lord.
Bishop Duca tells us he gives up sweets for Lent and admits it is difficult, but he tries to be consistent and stay with it for the full 40 days. I'm going to try to give up coffee and drink more water. We'll see how that goes.
