Shreveport Man Punched, Arrested for Catalytic Converter Theft
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department arrested a man after he was caught stealing from a property on Lakeshore Drive.
Chase Sanchez was caught stealing catalytic converters by someone on the property. When he was confronted by the man, Sanchez became aggressive towards him, which resulted in Sanchez getting punched in the face!
Sanchez suffered minor injuries from what sounds like a well-deserved sock to the chops, before SPD took over and put him in cuffs.
Sanchez was arrested and charged with the following:
4 counts of theft of catalytic converters
1 count of simple burglary
Investigators also learned Sanchez was wanted by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office on additional charges.
From SPD:
"Stealing copper and catalytic converters hurts property owners, neighborhoods, and everyone else who ends up paying the price.
This investigation remains active, and more charges are expected.
Crime is optional. Consequences are not."
