Shreveport Police Searching for Three Separate Car Theft Suspects
The Shreveport Police Department are on the hunt for three people who are wanted for separate car theft incidents.
Cheryl Bayliss failed to return a leased U-Haul truck. Bayless rented the U-Haul and did not get it back in the agree-upon time. As of today, Bayless still has not returned the truck. A warrant for her arrest was issued last week.
**UPDATE** Bayliss has been arrested.
Landon Meshell is wanted for theft of a motor vehicle after a police chase last month. Detectives were told that a car that had been stolen was found wrecked and unoccupied after a high-speed chase that started in Bossier City, and ended after they lost it in Shreveport. After an investigation, Police determined that Meshell was the one who stole the car. Meshell now has an active warrant for his arrest.
Daniel Haggerty is wanted after Enterprise Rent-A-Car called in a complaint. Haggerty rented a car from Enterprise and never returned it. Police and Enterprise have tried to communicate with Haggerty several times with no success. A warrant for Haggerty's arrest has been issued.
