
Shreveport Burglary Suspect Arrested with Machine Gun & Drugs

Burglary Suspect Apprehended with Narcotics and Altered Handgun
Approximately 30 minutes after noon, officers from the Shreveport Police Department responded to the 6900 block of Lavender Drive following a report of a burglary in progress.
During their route, officers were informed that the victim identified the suspect as 17-year-old Chaddrick Phillips. Surveillance cameras captured Phillips entering the residence and removing items.
Although Phillips had left the scene before the officers arrived, the officers proceeded to a known location where Phillips frequently visits. Upon contact, Phillips fled on foot. However, he was subsequently apprehended and found in possession of an altered handgun and narcotics.
- Phillips has been charged with the following:
- One count of illegal carrying of a weapon
- One count of aggravated burglary
- One count of resisting an officer
- One count of possession of a machine gun
The investigation remains ongoing.
Suspects are innocent until proven guilty
