Shreveport Police have made an arrest in connection with a residential burglary that occurred on Westwood Park Drive.

Late last month, Officers were called to a burglary at the residence. The victim told SPD that an unknown man forced entry into the home by breaking a bedroom window and stole a coin jar.

During the investigation, Shreveport Police processed the scene and successfully collected fingerprints. Those prints were submitted for analysis and were positively identified as belonging to Bryan Gipson.

Detectives conducted follow-up investigation and made contact with the victim, who told Officers she does not know Gipson and did not give him permission to be inside her residence.

Further investigation showed that Gipson had already been taken into custody by Shreveport Police earlier this month in connection with a separate burglary case.

As a result of this investigation, Bryan Gipson has now been charged with two counts of simple burglary. Detectives believe he may be connected to additional burglary incidents, and the investigation remains ongoing.
