Shreveport Man Arrested for Burglary at Mall St. Vincent

Monday night, Shreveport Police officers responded to Mall St. Vincent in reference to a burglary.

SPD Officers quickly located and arrested Avin Black, who was initially charged with one count of Simple Burglary and one count of Simple Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.

During a follow-up investigation, Officers found out that four additional businesses in the area had been burglarized. Detectives have found information linking Black to those burglaries and are actively investigating his involvement.

"Black has an extensive criminal history involving property crimes. Additional charges are expected as detectives continue to process evidence and review surveillance footage."

The investigation remains ongoing.
