The oldest Scout Troop in Northwest Louisiana will be celebrating it's 100 year anniversary Saturday (10/23/21) at Highland Park. Troop 15 started only 11 years after the Boy Scouts were established in 1910, and have been keeping kids in the Shreveport area trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent ever since.

The 100 year celebration of Troop 15 will be in Highland Park on Saturday, October 23rd. The troop is sponsored by Noel United Methodist Church, and with the help of the church plan on planting 115 trees locally to celebrate the anniversary.

The troop was founded in 1921 by its chartering organization, Noel Memorial United Methodist Church and plans to continue it's strong traditions of helping area kids become good and productive members of society.
