Shreveport Man Kills Himself in Bossier After Shooting Woman

In the early-morning hours, Shreveport Police were called to a report of a woman was shot during an altercation with the suspect on Kingston Road.

When SPD got to the scene, they found that the suspect had fled the scene. Police searched for the white sedan that the suspect reportedly fled in.

It was later reported that the BOLO car had been found in Bossier. Bossier Police caught up with him on Benton Road at Broadway just south of the Carriageway in north Bossier.

After a brief standoff with BCPD, it was reported that the suspected shooter shot himself and was pronounced dead on the scene. The woman who was shot was rushed to the hospital, where last reports say she was fighting for her life.

The names of the victim and suspect have not been released at this time, pending notification of family.
