Battery With Brass Knuckles Leads to Arrest in Shreveport

Shreveport Police responded to Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital, on Youree Drive, in reference to an assault and battery.

The incident was said to have happened in the 9200 block of Simmons Place. An investigation revealed that a verbal fight involving family members turned violent.

During the incident, Reshalae Young allegedly hit a woman, believed to be a family member, in the head with brass knuckles, causing serious injuries.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and had very little recollection of the brawl due to her head injuries. Thankfully, witnesses provided statements to Shreveport Police.

Young was taken into custody and charged with one count of Second Degree Battery.

The investigation is ongoing.
