Shooting at Shreveport Bar Ends With 60th Caddo Homicide

A woman shot and killed at a sports bar in south Shreveport early Saturday, September 2, 2023, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.

Lajah Chantiily Clarisa Small, 26, of Bossier City, was shot following a dispute at Time Out!, a business in the 9000 block of Mansfield Road. She was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where she succumbed to her wound at 1:34 a.m.

Another male victim in the shooting was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. No word yet on a suspect, or cause for this violence.

Ms. Small was positively identified through fingerprint comparison.

The slaying remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department, to which further media inquiries should be directed.

The death marks the 60th homicide in Caddo Parish in 2023 and the 56th in Shreveport proper for that period, pending the release of names of two homicide victims from Ed's Boulevard in Caddo Parish just north of Shreveport August 30.

An autopsy was ordered.
