Shreveport Police Department continues to take proactive measures to identify violent offenders and remove illegal firearms from our community.

Over the weekend, Officers were on Monkhouse Drive when they saw a suspicious vehicle in a hotel parking lot with several people gathered around it. Officers approached, and observed members of the group attempting to conceal items.

Officers detained four people and found two firearms during a search. One of the firearms had been illegally modified to a fully automatic weapon.

Christian Moore was arrested and charged with one count of Handling a Machine Gun after being found in possession of the illegal firearm.
