Shreveport Man Arrested for Theft and Assault With Firearm

On November 19, 2024, at approximately 7:02 PM, Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to the Kroger located at 9155 Mansfield Road regarding reports of a prowler and suspicious activity.

According to reports, a Black male was observed walking through the parking lot, pulling on car door handles, and taking items from the bed of a white Chevrolet pickup truck.

The suspect, later identified as Tellas Hill (12/13/73), was captured on store security cameras committing the theft. When a Kroger security guard confronted Hill, a struggle ensued. During the altercation, Hill pulled a black handgun from the front of his pants and raised it. The security guard, acting quickly, managed to grab Hill’s wrist to prevent harm. Hill then fled the scene on foot.

SPD officers conducted a thorough search of the area and successfully apprehended Hill after a brief foot pursuit. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Hill now faces multiple charges, including:

· Theft

· Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

· Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this dangerous encounter.
