Shreveport Man Wanted for Sexual Assault of a Kindergartener

Last Saturday, Shreveport Police launched an investigation after a distraught mother called about her daughter being assaulted.

The mother making the report said that she knew the man who molested her kindergarten-age daughter. The child was able to tell Officers and counselors what happened to her and who did it. The child said that Trevion Simmons sexually assaulted her several times.

SPD Detectives were able to get an arrest warrant out for Simmons yesterday, and Police are still on the hunt for him. Simmons is being charged with First-Degree Rape. If convicted, this offense could carry the possibility of a death penalty sentence under Louisiana law.
