On Sunday, Shreveport Police got a call from the Shreveport Barksdale Highway Walmart getting reports of an assault involving a gun.

When Police showed up they learned from witnesses and a victim that two men entered Walmart and one of them assaulted an employee with a gun. Officers checked the footage and saw one of the men take a pistol out of his waistband and hit the employee with the gun. The man then dropped the gun, allowing the employee to grab the weapon and run away.

Police were able to identify the two men as Amarion Turner and Jeffery McDay. Police were able to find the two men and arrest them. McDay was identified as the one who committed the assault, and Turner was found to have a gun in his waistband.

Both guns were secured by SPD, and Turner was arrested and charged with Illegal Carrying of a firearm, and McDay was charged with aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon.
