Shreveport Man Behind Bars For a Violent Assault on Family Members

Shreveport Police officers responded to Randolph Street regarding a disturbance involving an injured male victim.

When SPD got to the scene, Officers learned that the suspect, identified as Kentrix Allen, was involved in an altercation with his family members.

During the altercation, Allen allegedly used a razor to cut his uncle on the hand, causing a deep laceration. He also reportedly pushed his aunt to the ground, resulting in an injury to her leg.

The male victim's injury was determined to be non-life-threatening, and he did not require transport to a hospital.

Following the investigation, officers arrested Allen and charged him with Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Simple Battery.

The investigation remains ongoing.
