Shreveport Man Arrested After Stealing a Gun From a Home

Last week, Shreveport Police officers responded to a report of a stolen gun at a local residence.

The victim told SPD that an man he knew as Lannon Ford had taken a handgun from the home without permission.

During the investigation, SPD got security footage that, according to SPD, showed Ford in possession of the firearm. Yesterday, investigators made contact with additional witnesses and gathered information confirming that Ford had stolen the gun from the home.

As a result of the investigation, Ford has now been charged with one count of Theft of a Firearm.

Ford was being held at the Caddo Correctional Center at the time of this investigation after his bond had recently been revoked in connection with an aggravated assault case.
