Shreveport Man Arrested for Drugs and Stolen Motorcycle
Last week, Shreveport Police Officers and Louisiana Probation and Parole Agents conducted an operation on Mansfield Road that led to an arrest.
During this operation, Officers came in contact with 39 year-old George Pruett. Officers and Agents were able to find out that Pruett was non-compliant with the terms of his probation and parole.
SPD investigated further and found Pruett to be in possession of suspected drugs, a gun, and a stolen motorcycle. Pruett was arrested and taken to Shreveport City Jail.
While Pruett was being booked, Officers were doing the typical head-to-toe search before he was put in a cell, and they found more suspected meth that Police say Pruett "attempted to conceal internally."... Yuck! The drugs were recovered by Police and entered in to evidence in his case.
Pruett is facing the following charges:
· Possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance
· Possession of a Schedule II narcotic
· Possession of stolen property (motorcycle)
· Introduction of contraband into a penal institution
· Outstanding warrant for theft
· Parole violation
From SPD:
"The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to working with local and state partners to hold offenders accountable and ensure the safety of our community."
