Earlier this week, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office were called under a bridge on Ellerbe Road to reports of a body being discovered.

After the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office examined the body, it was determined that the man died from injuries inflicted by another person.

Investigators from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office worked to gather leads, eventually identifying 48 year-old Bradley Weidner from Shreveport as a suspect in the case.

Yesterday, CPSO Detectives found Weidner at the Palamar Motel on Greenwood Road. After a standoff, he was taken into custody and transported to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Detective Office.

From CPSO:

"Detective Jeremy Edward interviewed him. Following the interview, Weidner was charged with second-degree murder and illegal possession of a stolen firearm. He was then transported to the Caddo Correctional Center and booked on the aforementioned charges.

The investigation is ongoing."
