Shreveport Police Make Arrest in Local Shooting

On August 13th, 2023, at 11:43 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a shooting call in the 6300 block of Jefferson Paige Road.

Arriving officers discovered a crime scene in which a vehicle had been struck by gunfire. Officers located a female occupant in the vehicle that was struck by pieces of glass during the shooting. The victim is expected to recover.

Shreveport Police Patrol officer began an investigation into the incident. Officers were able to determine that the shooting stemmed from a dispute and found that Andrew Garner (9-16-92) was the reported gunman. Garner is charged with one count of Aggravated Battery.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
