Shreveport Police Arrest Man in Sexual Battery Case

Shreveport Police Department has arrested a suspect following an investigation into a reported sexual assault.

Back in February, the Shreveport Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit were assigned a sexual assault case. During the investigation, SPD determined that the offender committed a sexual battery against the victim.

Surveillance footage from the area was checked, which confirmed the presence of the suspect. The victim also provided detailed information regarding the assault, which was instrumental in advancing the case.

Last week, SPD got an arrest warrant for the suspect. The Shreveport Police Department Warrants Unit located and arrested the individual without incident.

Antonio Wells Jr. has been charged with:

· One count of Felony Sexual Battery
