Shreveport Police Arrest Two for Separate Gun Crimes
More guns off the streets thanks to SPD!
On Tuesday, Shreveport Police pulled a car over on Greenwood Road for no seatbelt. As SPD Officers were walking up to the car they noticed the driver was shifting around in his seat, and reaching around the car making it obvious that he was trying to hide something.
SPD pulled Jumada Lindsay from his car and searched him. They were able to find a handgun, and later found that Lindsay has hidden drugs in his pants while Police were approaching his car. Lindsay was cuffed and arrested for illegal possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance and possession of Schedule I narcotics.
On Wednesday SPD's Warrant Unit had an outstanding arrest warrant for Kiadrew McFann. McFann was wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon, and was arrested by the Warrant Unit.
From SPD:
"The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to removing illegal firearms from the hands of individuals who are prohibited from possessing them and will continue to actively target those who violate firearm and narcotics laws.
Anyone with information regarding illegal firearms or narcotics activity is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at (318) 673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373."
