Shreveport Man Arrested After Domestic Shooting
Last week, Shreveport Police were called to Biddle Drive to reports of a shooting and an injured male.
When Police showed up to the scene, they found the man who was shot with a towel wrapped around his left thigh. Patrol Officers started canvassing the area to find a suspect, when they found 21 year-old Jaylon Bell walking away from the scene of the shooting.
Police stopped Bell to investigate, and he admitted to shooting his cousin. Officers also found that he was still in possession of the gun he used in the shooting.
SPD is still trying to find out the motive behind the shooting, or what led up to it, but no reason has been given by Bell or the victim. Bell was arrested and charged with Aggravated Batter With a Dangerous Weapon.
According to SPD, the gun was seized and will be destroyed after the case goes through court.
