Shreveport Man Arrested for Latest Area Homicide
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Shreveport Police officers and Shreveport Fire Department medics responded to reports of a shooting at 107 East Herndon Street. Upon arrival, officers located 37-year-old Lonnie Troquille in front of the residence.
Troquille informed officers that his girlfriend had been shot and was inside the residence. Officers and medics entered the home and located the female victim, who had sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. Emergency responders immediately began providing aid; however, despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes investigators were notified and promptly responded to the location. Following an interview with investigators and further inquiry into the incident, Lonnie Troquille was arrested and charged with one count of Second Degree Murder.
