Shreveport Police Searching for Teen Armed Robbery Suspect

Last week, a man walking on the 400 block of Apache Trail was confronted by someone he knew before being robbed at gunpoint.

18 year old Demetrius Darnell allegedly pulled out a handgun, demanded the victim’s phone, and pistol-whipped him with the weapon. The victim ran toward a neighbor’s home, but Darnell chased him down, assaulted him again under a carport, stole his iPhone, and ran off.

Detectives got an Arrest Warrant for Armed Robbery for Demetrius Darnell.
We need your help locating this violent offender.

SPD is urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to his arrest. DO NOT approach Darnell as he may be armed and dangerous. SPD is telling the public to call them with his location.
