It’s hard to believe that the Shreveport Aquarium has already been open for 8 years.  I was able to take a tour before the Aquarium opened when a friend of mine, local artist and film industry prop-designer Jim Hayes took me through as they were remodeling and rebuilding the old Barnwell Art Center downtown on the Shreveport riverfront.

Jim was one of the designers of some of the special props and decorations you still see at the aquarium.  The Shreveport Aquarium opened in November, 2017, and has been an awesome addition to the downtown landscape.
