Shreveport Man Arrested for Aggravated Flight From Officers
On July 13, Shreveport Police attempted a traffic stop in the area of Tate Street and Jewella Avenue. However, the vehicle refused to stop and led Shreveport Police officers on a chase throughout the city.
The vehicle eventually stopped in the 2500 block of Malcolm Street, and the driver fled on foot. The driver was observed running into a home, leaving two children behind in the vehicle. Officers were able to surround the residence and take him into custody.
Shreveport Police officers located Terrence Hoskins hiding inside a closet in the residence, where he was taken into custody. Hoskins was determined to be the driver of the vehicle and had five outstanding traffic warrants. The 32-year-old Hoskins has been charged with the following:
- One count of aggravated flight from an officer
- One count of resisting an officer
- Two counts of contributing to the delinquency of minors
- One count of cruelty to juveniles
- Numerous traffic offenses
The Shreveport Police Department strongly discourages such reckless actions, especially when young children are involved, as it endangers their safety and well-being. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured during these events.
