
Shreveport Man Arrested for Domestic Abuse of a Pregnant Victim
An arrest has been made in a domestic violence case involving a pregnant victim.
Isaiah Thomas has been arrested in connection with an incident on Henderson Avenue.
Shreveport Police Department was told by a city official and the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office of a possible active domestic violence situation in February. Detectives started an investigation and learned the victim had been attempting leave Thomas and the abusive relationship.
The victim tried to leave Thomas' home in a cab, and Thomas prevented her from entering the car. He is accused of punching the victim in the face, causing visible injuries that was later proven through photographs and video evidence. The victim in this case is six months pregnant.
The victim and her 3 year-old child were relocated to a secure location with the help of the Caddo DA and Project Celebration.
Thomas was taken into custody by the Shreveport Police Department and the United States Marshals Task Force.
Thomas has been charged with:
· Three counts of Domestic Abuse Battery
· One count of Domestic Abuse Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
· One active Fugitive Warrant
