Shreveport Police Arrest 2 Men on Gun and Drug CHarges
Two young men are in huge trouble!
Shreveport Police got a tip from a Caddo Juvenile Service Officer about drugs and guns in a house on 74th Street. SPD was able to get a warrant to search the house on Tuesday right when the rough weather was rolling in. When SPD got to the house they were able to cuff 3 people who were inside.
Police searched the house and were able to find 80 grams of marijuana as well as a gun with an automatic switch. This switch allows you to modify a normal gun in to a fully automatic.
SPD arrested two 20 year-olds, Jaxon Furr and and Clade Byrd. While the two were being taken outside during the worst part of the storm, Furr was able to get away from officers and he made a run for it. Furr ran to a house on 73rd street and hid inside. Thankfully a VCAT Office saw Furr run in to the house and Police surrounded the place. After a short standoff Furr left the house and was put in cuffs and taken away.
Furr was charged with Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance and Simple Escape.
Clade Burr was charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.
Both men are behind bars and SPD is still investigating this case.
